- A: Yes, unfortunately
the Seqhound Web Services that are utilized are not maintained anymore and
do not support proxy usage. We are going to replace the Seqhound Services
by another free option that will work behind HTTP proxies.

not work with my BLAST, FASTA, R version!.
A: Please take a look at our automated compatibility tests (using JUnit) that run our methods with the supported external binaries and services. In case of any problems please feel free to contact us or write to the PROMPT mailinglist.

crashes with SIGSEGV 11 or similar messages on some LINUX KDE versions.
A: Use another window manager instead for example GNOME or tinywindow manager or update your system (more infos1 infos2)

started over a remote X-connection. This is a known problem of SUN's SWING
implementation
A: Start PROMPT with the parameter -no_buffer . This disables the double-buffering, but may introduce some flickering (more infos).

A strange Java error appears if PROMPT is started.
A: This can happen if you have an old Java Runtime installed. Check your Java version by executing java -version in the command line.

Using the tiny window manager (twm) on Linux, I can not open deeper menu entries
